About Me

Hi, I am Linpeng Tang, co-founder and CTO of moqi.ai. I finished my PhD in Computer Science at Princeton University in 2018. My research advisor was Prof. Kai Li. Before that I did my undergraduate studies at ACM Class, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

I am broadly interested in computer systems, especially data storage, caching and computation, from single machine systems (like GPU/Xeon Phi) to data centers, and globally distributed content delivery networks. I also work a bit on data mining and machine learning, and take an interest in theoretical computer science.

I spent the past two summers interning at Facebook, mainly working on its photo serving stack, from storage to caching.

During my undergraduate, I spent the first half of my senior year interning at HP Labs China, where I helped design a FPGA based core router and some pattern mining algorithm for web clipping. And during the second half of my senior year, I was one of the leaders of Team ACMClass@SJTU, which won the 1st place in the KDD Cup 2012 Data Mining Contest, Track 1.
